Reeve & McIntyre at Lifton Primary
Today’s school visit took us almost to the Cornish border, to Lifton Community Academy, where we received a warm welcome. Here’s my co-author Philip Reeve with Head Adam Hill, Leslie Leggett from First Draft Books in Bovey Tracey and Laura Stainer from Callington Primary, who arranged our visit.

Everyone in the school drew with us all at once, from pre-school to Year 6, and it was brilliant!! I didn’t get a chance to snap photos of the ace drawings, but here’s one by Laura Stainer from Callington Primary. I love it when the staff draw along with the children; it shows them drawing isn’t just ‘for kids’, but a challenge everyone can accept.

If you’re from Lifton and you’re reading this, we have a lot more drawing activities… and Mouse Hieroglyphics! - over on the Adventuremice.com website. Do have a browse!

Laura (and the PTA!) really spoiled us at lunch time, taking us to local Strawberry Fields Farm Shop restaurant, which was much fancier than your usual school dinner…

It was super yummy! Thanks, Lifton PTA!

Big thanks to Ben Hill and all the staff who helped out to make our visit go so well, it was great to meet you all!
