Adventuremice: Mini Mice Mayhem

Philip Reeve and I have a new book coming out very soon in the UK: Adventuremice: Mini Mice Mayhem! It's the ninth book in our Adventuremice series and features the little mouselets of Mousehaven.

Pedro and Fledermaus accidentally invite the mouselets to visit the Mousebase... and their teacher, Mrs Watermouse, takes them up on their offer and leaves her class of rabbly rascals while she zooms off in her speedboat to go for a nice time with friends at the spa. Can the Adventuremice cope with the invasion? And what happens when a certain villain gets wind of this tricky situation?

The book officially launches in all good bookshops on Thursday, 8 Oct. And on that same date, we'll be releasing original artwork from the book in the online Adventuremice shop from 9pm UK time.

You might notice that the prices for the original artwork are quite low compared to other book illustration you might see sold by art agencies on the Internet, but be assured that it's not beecause the quality is low, or the pictures took any less time or skill to paint! It's because you're buying directly from me, the artist, so there's not an extra 30-70% commission added on by an intermediate seller. Also, I don't want only wealthy collectors to be able to buy my paintings; it's nice to think of, say, a parent or grandparent buying a child a book and including with it one of the original pictures appearing in that very book, to hang on the child's bedroom wall.
