taxi cat and green worm milkshake

This weekend my two-year-old friend Anneli (named after Anerley railway station) asked me to draw ‘a cat in a taxi’, and I thought it didn’t come out too badly!

I went out for Vietnamese food last night with Ellen Lindner and Viviane Schwarz. Viv and I ordered these bizarre drinks with red kidney beans and green gummy worms.

You wouldn’t think it, but it actually tasted pretty good. Then we went and laughed a lot at the new Sherlock Holmes film. I think it might make purists writhe, but I like how it has all the humour and comic timing that’s missing from the new James Bond films, and Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law were fabulous together.

Hey, if you’re around London on Thurs, 21 Jan, this’ll be a great event: How a Comic is Made, with Woodrow Phoenix (Rumble Strip), Patt Mills (Nemesis, Slaine, Requiem), Nana Li (Twelfth Night), Andrzej Klimowski and Danusia Schejbal (Master & Margarita), chaired by Paul Gravett. (Read a more extensive article about it by Paul here.)
London Print Studio Gallery, 425 Harrow Road, London. 6:30-8pm, tickets free, followed by book signings and reception.

Apologies about Morris the Mankiest Monster being out of stock on Amazon, that was kind of bad timing after the CBeebies spot. My editor says the new shipment from China should be in the warehouses by the end of the month, fingers crossed! (I hope Morris doesn’t get sea sick on the voyage, he might enjoy it too much.)
