our studio is overrun with wool!
Vern and Derek the sheep have been busily working away at the Fleece Station to finish up their contributions to the September issue of the 30th tBk Mag. Actually, they are sort of taking over the magazine, just as hundreds of little knitted people are yarn-storming our studio! The postmen all now know our stitchmistress studio mate Lauren O’Farrell, who’s had them trouping endlessly back and forth with hundreds of parcels. It’s all part of the Stitch Yourself evening at London’s Science Museum. The deadline for knitted self-portraits is tomorrow (Saturday), but anyone can come along to the party on Wednesday from 6:45-10pm. Here’s Lauren’s overrun desk (with my doll and Lauren’s standing guard on the pile):
We picked up a couple more dolls when Viviane Schwarz and I went from Carnegie-Greenaway festivities to the Royal Festival Hall for a meeting of the Comica Social Club, which meets on the last Thursday of each month.
Hey, our Fleece Station studio website crashed and burned with a bizarre WordPress ‘update’, so hopefully we’ll get that sorted before too long. But no website for now.
