happy poo day!
I’m a bit under the weather at the moment, so I’ve drawn myself as a little hill monster thingie. Hello, everyone.
When this lovely lady finishes having her tea on the hillock, she’ll go catch the poo bus. Here Comes the Poo Bus!, she’ll say, and come along it will, because today is the first day that the Poo Bus is officially in service. (Can you tell I just like saying Poo Bus?)
Congratulations to Noëlle Davies-Brock and Andy Stanton on the launch today of their picture book about poo and death.
I mentioned it on Facebook and we already have several good words in praise:
My son will be straining …at the leash! – Rob Davies
Poo bus? So glad I’m no longer in that phase of child rearing! – Candy Gourlay
Stanton is undoubtedly the greatest comic mind of his generation. And here he does for poo what Wordsworth did for daffodils. – Anthony McGowan
Oh Hooray! – Viviane Schwarz
POO BUS. – Viviane Schwarz
Got the Poo Bus – couldn’t not, really. – Jamie Smart
Ok, my mind is officially boggling here. – Nick Cross
You people are crazy! It’s just an excuse for laughing at skid marks. And disgraceful insects. But if you like those things, hey, enjoy! – Noëlle Davies-Brock
(You, too, can board the Poo Bus here.)
I still have plans to get back into landscape sketching. This morning I only managed the drawing equivalent to shorthand notes, but I’m hoping to get back to the pond and draw it properly.
While I was drawing, I spotted the tiniest coot chick I’ve ever seen, less than three inches long. So cute! Then it made a poo.
