go, daddy, go!!!

My dad just rang up, almost giddy with excitement, to say HIS PLANE is in the air for the first time! It’s Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner and he designed the navigation system. (He is very clever, my dad!) Stuart and I have been watching the live video feed of the test flight, and we even got to see Dad talk about it on the Boeing video! (Click on the ‘Employees‘ section.)

Dad’s been working on planes since he emigrated to America and this is the pinnacle of his career. Yay, Dad!!! (Hee hee, he’s wearing the jumper my sister got him at the Salvation Army shop.)
