Do you like my new wig???\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/wigs_sarah-a377e5aba6.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nI just designed a bunch of hairpieces for my beastly boutique in \u003Ca href=\"http://www.discover.org.uk/schoolsandgroups/event/exhibition_welcome_to_monsterville_-_story_telling_workshop/\">Monsterville\u003C/a>, the real-life, 3-D monster village I'm building with Ed Vere, Neal Layton and the design team at the \u003Ca href=\"http://www.discover.org.uk/\">Discover Children's Story Centre\u003C/a> in Stratford, northeast London. It opens on May 28th, so I'm trying to get as much finished as possible before I leave for America tomorrow. \\r\n\\r\nI won't be around on the blog as much for the next couple weeks. She included \u003Ci>Morris the Mankiest Monster\u003C/i>... thanks, Niamh!\\r\n\\r\nOkay, now we're moving away from London and Monsterville to an entirely different city, Oxford. BUT THERE WERE STILL MONSTERS! When \u003Cb>Philip Reeve\u003C/b> and I visited \u003Cb>Oxford's yet-unopened Story Museum\u003C/b>, we spotted this great light fixture above the door. (How cool is that?!)\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/story_museum_2-ab8dc1ec10.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nAnd then some monsters nipped our finger tips. So fab. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/story_museum_3-5d449056ca.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nIt's still very much a building site, but there's a lonely dinosaur in a room that used to be a canteen, when the building was a telephone exchange. And so lovely in a higgelty-piggelty sort of way. I can't wait to see how they'll use all the buildings' strange quirks to build a world dedicated to storytelling.
