Mary's such a magpie, she loves little crystals and shiny things. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/tate_3-5324be8392.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nI doodled a few of the paintings, and they don't look anything like the original portraits. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/tate_britain-243d1df850.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nWe're always fascinated by \u003Ca href=\"http://www.tate.org.uk/servlet/ViewWork?cgroupid=999999961&amp;workid=1500&amp;tabview=text&amp;texttype=10\">\u003Ci>The Cholmondeley Ladies\u003C/i>\u003C/a>, painted around 1600. The two ladies aren't twins, but are said to have been born and married on the same days. It's such an old painting but it looks so incredibly strange and modern.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/tate_1-46d4d8c58e.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nThe wall labels at the \u003Ca href=\"http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/\">Tate Modern\u003C/a> says that three big canvases by Cy Twombly are paintings of Bacchus, the god of wine; and it's true, a person can get very drunk on the colour red in that room.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/tate_2-38e83a4104.jpg\">","2011-03-10T11:34:00.000Z","visiting-the-tates",[],"visiting the tates",1776628719857]
