[{"data":1,"prerenderedAt":11},["ShallowReactive",2],{"blog-post-visiting-princess-frederica":3},{"_type":4,"body":5,"bodyHtml":6,"excerpt":5,"featuredImage":5,"publishedAt":7,"slug":8,"tags":9,"title":10},"blogPost",null,"\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/362005_original-261c7283fc.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nToday I plunged through the swirling snow to \u003Ca href=\"http://www.princessfrederica.brent.sch.uk/\">Princess Frederica CoE Primary School\u003C/a> in Kensal Green, north London, and was met with a warm, enthusiastic welcome!\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/361886_original-5856678d99.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nFor the assembly with the younger half of the children, we focused on \u003Ci>\u003Ca href=\"http://www.jabberworks.co.uk/theres-a-shark-in-the-bath/\">There's a Shark in the Bath\u003C/a>\u003C/i>. We talked about how sometimes it's good to take something a little scary and turn it into something silly, because it's hard to be scared of something if we're laughing! Here's a bath with a very silly shark in it. (The kids helped me with the design.)\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/362249_original-14236becf8.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nWith the older half of the school, we focused on \u003Ci>\u003Ca href=\"http://jabberworks.co.uk/pugs-of-the-frozen-north/\">Pugs of the Frozen North\u003C/a>\u003C/i> by Philip Reeve and me, and everyone drew a pug - they were excellent pugs! (I love it when the teachers draw, too. And the kids get so much more inspired, seeing from their example that drawing isn't only 'for kids'.)\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/364282_original-8b9504f4e3.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nYear 2 (6-7 year olds) got a special workshop all of their own, where I read them\u003Ci>\u003Ca href=\"http://jampires.com/\"> Jampires \u003C/a>\u003C/i>by David O'Connell and me, and taught them how to draw a Jampire:\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/364351_original-ed7f4cb61c.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/364666_original-47518cdca5.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nThen everyone made a poster about the sort of creature that might steal their favourite food!
