It will have to be more of a retrospective event now, but we will talk about comics and people can ask questions of us and David Fickling. (I wouldn't be surprised if all the DFC contributors show up with their own questions, should be well interesting!)\\r\n\\r\nDon't miss the \u003Ca href=\"http://www.ukwebcomixthing.co.uk\">UK Web & Mini Comix Thing\u003C/a> on \u003Cb>Saturday, 28 March, in east London\u003C/b>! It's the UK's biggest and best alternative press fair, therefore unmissable! I'll be running a table with \u003Cb>David O'Connell\u003C/b> (\u003Ca href=\"http://www.tozocomic.com\">\u003Ci>Tozo\u003C/i>\u003C/a>) and \u003Cb>Woodrow Phoenix\u003C/b> (\u003Ca href=\"http://www.myriadeditions.com/?location_id=30\">\u003Ci>Rumble Strip\u003C/i>\u003C/a> and \u003Ca href=\"http://www.thedfc.co.uk/writers-artists/woodrow-phoenix/\">the DFC\u003C/a>). For those of you who love the DFC's \u003Ca href=\"http://www.thedfc.co.uk/strips/Super-Animal-Adventure-Squad/\">\u003Ci>Super Animal Adventure Squad\u003C/a>\u003C/i>, \u003Cb>James Turner\u003C/b> will also be selling comics from his table. \u003Ca href=\"http://eruditebaboon.livejournal.com/13294.html\">(Will we see a return of \u003Ci>Beaver & Steve\u003C/i>?)\u003C/a> In fact, most of your favourite British small press people (and a few North Americans and an Irishwoman) will be there, so write it in big red letters on your calendar right now.\\r\n\\r\nThe Thing isn't technically aimed at children, but if you have a kid who wants to get into selling his or her own comics, this is the place to take them to get them excited about ways to get their work out to the public. I was so impressed one year by the ten-year-old who had his own table and was selling minis for 20p, and of course, I bought some. \\r\n\\r\nWe'll be meeting up for the \u003Ca href=\"http://ztoical.com/postthingda.jpg\">Post Thing Thing\u003C/a> at the nearby Half Moon pub from 5pm til late, organised by \u003Ca href=\"http://ztoical.livejournal.com/\" class=\"lj-user\">ztoical\u003C/a>. (Although I'm running off a bit early from the drinks to catch the tail end of \u003Cb>Sally Nicholls\u003C/b>' launch of her second novel, \u003Ca href=\"http://www.sallynicholls.com/books/season-of-secrets/\">\u003Ci>Season of Secrets\u003C/i>\u003C/a>.)\\r\n\\r\nAnd some more dashing epaulettes from fellow \u003Ca href=\"http://www.goalanthology.com/\">GOAL Anthology\u003C/a> contributor \u003Cb>Malte Knaack\u003C/b>!
