I had fun revisiting the scene where Lettuce throws a tantrum while danging from her ears. She is one gutsy bunny.\\r\n\\r\nDon't forget to \u003Ca href=\"http://www.thedfc.co.uk/subscribe\">subscribe!\u003C/a> There are lots of subscription options to fit any budget, or you can even order single back issues.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/dfc36-00217e4eae.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nForbidden Planet International blog contributor \u003Cb>Richard Bruton\u003C/b> had \u003Ca href=\"http://rhbfictions.blogspot.com/2009/02/its-dfc-friday-issue-36.html\">some good things\u003C/a> to say about Vern and Lettuce, but also something that cracked me up:\\r\n\\r\n\u003Ci>Needless to say Vern & Lettuce and \u003Ca href=\"http://www.thedfc.co.uk/issues/36/sausage-and-carrots\">Sausage & Carrots\u003C/a> were great. Sarah McIntyre has suddenly decided to veer off into a much longer story with Vern & Lettuce. Luckily the strip still has enough gags and of course, looks lovely. One of the strengths of it is how warm and cosy and comfortable it looks. The colours and stylings make it look nothing like anything else in the comic. Next thing you know she'll be telling us she has this idea for 300 strips and this early funny stuff was just her finding her feet a la Dave Dim with \u003Ca href=\"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerebus\">Cerebus\u003C/a>. Or maybe not.\u003C/i>\\r\n\\r\nI don't think he's casting aspersions on Dave Sim, but the idea of anything happening 'suddenly' in Vern and Lettuce made me howl.
