It looks like a cross between the way Will draws and I draw.\\r\n \\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/kirkby_face-85dbac0c10.gif\">\\r\n\\r\nAnd \u003Ca href=\"http://tozocomic.livejournal.com/\" class=\"lj-user\">tozocomic\u003C/a> made me laugh with \u003Ca href=\"http://tozocomic.livejournal.com/53038.html\">his drawing\u003C/a> of our pub-going group a couple nights ago, and he let me post it here. It's me, Will, Stuart and Dave. (As you can see, I'm rather tall-ish.)\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/dave_pubgoers-12ea44a553.jpg\">\\r\n\u003Ci>'Comickers in search of a pub' by David O'Connell\u003C/i>\\r\n\\r\nMy friend \u003Ca href=\"http://kimprint.wordpress.com\">Kim Toohey\u003C/a> has posted a link to a November article in the Guardian about one of my favourite writer-illustrators, \u003Cb>Satoshi Kitamura\u003C/b> \u003Ca href=\"http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2008/nov/08/satoshi-kitamura-angry-arthur-illustrations\">here\u003C/a>. I was particularly intrigued by this:\\r\n\u003Ci>He draws with ink, but instead of a springy, steel nib he uses a Japanese glass pen, with tiny grooves to accommodate the ink . This creates a distinctive line that blobs now and then as it glides, giving an unmistakable character to everything he draws.\u003C/i> \\r\nDoes anyone know who makes these \u003Cb>Japanese glass pens\u003C/b>? I've never seen one.\\r\n\\r\nWant some recommendations for this year's reading?
