Here's a crew filming Lauren at our studio, the \u003Ca href=\"http://thefleecestation.wordpress.com/\">Fleece Station\u003C/a>, talking about her graffiti knitting for Japanese telly. This photo made me laugh, I can't remember what they're all looking at.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/studio_japantelly-a9c39f0fe1.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nAnd friends of the Fleece Station have also been coming up with marvelous things! I just got a copy in the post of \u003Cb>Garen Ewing\u003C/b>'s comic \u003Ci>\u003Cb>The Rainbow Orchid\u003C/i>\u003C/b>. It originally came out as three books, but now you can buy it all in one cover, with a special supplement about it by Garen. Garen's been working on this book for \u003Ci>ages\u003C/i>, and he's such a wonderful stickler for historical details, this book is an epic endeavour. Find out more on \u003Ca href=\"http://www.garenewing.co.uk/rainboworchid/\">\u003Ci>The Rainbow Orchid website\u003C/a>\u003C/i>...\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/rainbow_orchid-53134fc463.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nHere are two other comics I picked up at \u003Ca href=\"http://www.goshlondon.com/\">Gosh!\u003C/a> in Soho today: the long-awaited \u003Ca href=\"http://www.blankslatebooks.co.uk/our-books/the-silver-darlings/\">\u003Ci>The Silver Darlings\u003C/a>\u003C/i> by \u003Ca href=\"http://whmorris.blogspot.co.uk/\">Will Morris\u003C/a>, and \u003Ca href=\"http://philippajrice.com/#item=recyclost\">\u003Ci>Recyclost\u003C/a>\u003C/i> by webcomic wonderwoman \u003Ca href=\"http://philippajrice.com\">Philippa Rice\u003C/a>. Will's is a fishing story, set on the west coast of Scotland (not far from where my dad grew up!) and Philippa's is a sci-fi story with some of the characters from \u003Ca href=\"http://mycardboardlife.com/\">\u003Ci>My Cardboard Life\u003C/i>\u003C/a> (updated three times a week!). Gosh! have posted about \u003Ci>The Silver Darlings\u003C/i> on \u003Ca href=\"http://www.goshlondon.com/2012/12/the-gosh-authority-111212/\">their latest blog entry\u003C/a>, and you can read an article about Philippa (and \u003Ca href=\"http://lukepearson.com/\">Luke Pearson\u003C/a> - I'm such a fan of his Hilda books) in today's \u003Ca href=\"http://www.newstatesman.com/cultural-capital/2012/12/british-comics-week-small-press-big-talent\">\u003Ci>New Statesman\u003C/i> article by Mike Leader\u003C/a>.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/silver_darlings-01074f93c2.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nAnd hurrah for 12-year-old \u003Ca href=\"http://www.thezoom.co.uk/\">Zoom Rockman\u003C/a>, whom Vogue has just \u003Ca href=\"http://www.vogue.co.uk/spy/celebrity-photos/2012/12/14/hot-list-rising-stars-2013---angel-haze-alice-englert-maude-apatow/gallery/11\">included in its 2013 list of 20 people to watch out for\u003C/a>. Zoom worked with us at the Pop-Up Festival this summer and keeps popping up on my blog.
