I ran out of comics but met lots of new people, including, coincidentally, another artist/comics person who lives two houses away from me! She liked the scene in my \u003Ca href=\"http://jabberworks.livejournal.com/75201.html\">hourly comic\u003C/a> where I'm looking out over a construction site because it's almost exactly the same view she has from her work desk. It's nice to know some other solitary person is slaving away nearby at their own desk and drinking too many cups of tea.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/gio-b10364bcd3.jpg\">\\r\nHere's a photo taken in the White Swan with Giovanni Spinella, brandishing his \u003Ca href=\"http://www.comicscreatorsguild.co.uk/\">Comics Creators Guild\u003C/a> magazine. I like to go to meetings when Gio is there because he makes my cheeks hurt from laughing too much and he explains a lot of the complicated boy-comics stuff that I don't really know anything about. The CCG look out for comic creators' legal rights, and they sound keen to get their teeth into another good legal dispute.
