Once I woke up around three in the morning and Candy was still tapping away on  her laptop, working on her latest novel. She has kids, and I think she does that a lot. Who needs to sleep, anyway. My friend \u003Ca href=\"http://lolliblog.tumblr.com\">Laura Hurwitz\u003C/a> (also a beloved book fair room mate) has \u003Cb>six\u003C/b> kids and still writes novels on a regular basis, totally amazing.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/chrisbologna-5d93cbbc87.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cb>Chris Mould\u003C/b> just sent this photo of the two of us having Italian sludge coffee in Bologna (which was actually very drinkable with two packs of sugar), and I discovered he has a more interesting \u003Ca href=\"http://www.somethingwickedlyweird.com\">website here\u003C/a>, with lovely artwork, sound effects that made me giggle, and downloadable first chapters of his books.\\r\n\\r\nI've written three more \u003Ca href=\"http://www.writeaway.org.uk\">Write Away\u003C/a> reviews, this brings my total to \u003Ca href=\"http://www.writeaway.org.uk/component/option,com_mtree/task,advsearch2/search_id,2305/Itemid,99999999/\">31 so far\u003C/a>:\\r\n* \u003Ca href=\"http://www.writeaway.org.uk/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,3188/Itemid,99999999/\">The Crocodile Blues\u003C/a> by Coleman Polhemus (This book's remarkable; after I finished reading it, I found myself staring at it and blinking a lot.)\\r\n* \u003Ca href=\"http://www.writeaway.org.uk/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,3187/Itemid,99999999/\">Carnival of Colours\u003C/a> by Hervé Tullet\\r\n* \u003Ca href=\"http://www.writeaway.org.uk/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,3186/Itemid,99999999/\">Bob & Co.\u003C/a> by Delphine Durand\\r\n\\r\nSo now I am working away on some more comics, but as I work, I keep looking out the window in front of my desk. Right now I can count 23 construction workers and 13 pieces of heavy machinery, not including cars, vans, portaloos and trailers.
