[{"data":1,"prerenderedAt":11},["ShallowReactive",2],{"blog-post-sheffield-childrens-book-awards-2017":3},{"_type":4,"body":5,"bodyHtml":6,"excerpt":5,"featuredImage":5,"publishedAt":7,"slug":8,"tags":9,"title":10},"blogPost",null,"I hadn't gone up to the Sheffield Children's Book Awards ceremony \u003Ca href=\"https://jabberworks.livejournal.com/347146.html\">since 2007\u003C/a> (when \u003Ci>Morris the Mankiest Monster\u003C/i> took the overall award!) and this time I had \u003Ci>two\u003C/i> books shortlisted - \u003Ci>\u003Ca href=\"http://www.jabberworks.co.uk/prince-of-pants/\">The Prince of Pants\u003C/a>\u003C/i> and \u003Ci>\u003Ca href=\"http://www.jabberworks.co.uk/jinks-o-hare-funfair-repair/\">Jinks & O'Hare Funfair Repair\u003C/a>\u003C/i> - so I thought it was time to head up there. Here I am, blinging it up with Sheffield's Lord Mayor...\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/312408_original-479327559c.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nI got to sit next to my picture book's writer \u003Ca href=\"https://www.facebook.com/authoralanmacdonald\">Alan MacDonald\u003C/a>, who'd come up from home in Nottingham. (We don't get to hang out often enough.)\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/312711_original-ab0492de3b.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nAnd the whole team of writers and illustrators who came up for the ceremony.
