And today I've learned from \u003Ca href=\"http://www.theguardian.com/books/2015/sep/23/scots-thesaurus-reveals-421-words-for-snow?CMP=twt_books_b-gdnbooks\">this Guardian article by Alison Flood\u003C/a> that the Scots have at least 421 words for snow. I really must check that thesaurus to be sure they include some of the fifty kinds of snow in our Pugs book: stinksnow, singing snow, shrinksnow, I'm sure they must all be there. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Ca href=\"http://www.theguardian.com/books/2015/sep/23/scots-thesaurus-reveals-421-words-for-snow?CMP=twt_books_b-gdnbooks\">\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/guardian_snaw_zpsqzht3zwg-0fde5467c6.jpg\">\u003C/a>\\r\n\\r\nAnd while we're at it, I have to brag that a few weeks ago I had dinner sitting next to Susan Rennie, who translates \u003Ca href=\"http://tintinscots.com/\">Tintin comics into Scots dialect\u003C/a>.
