Can you knit, or do you know anyone who does?\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/sarah_knittedpug_zpsxgx4ra7e-002aa1701e.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nMy latest book with \u003Ca href=\"http://philipreeve.blogspot.co.uk/\">Philip Reeve\u003C/a>, \u003Cb>\u003Ci>Pugs of the Frozen North\u003C/i>\u003C/b>, doesn't come out with Oxford University Press until September...\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/pug_head_zpsikmonk6n-afbc5c8cb6.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\n...but people have been asking to get \u003Cb>a head start on making their own pugs\u003C/b> in preparation for the book's arrival. After the success of the \u003Ca href=\"http://www.jabberworks.co.uk/oliver-and-the-seawigs/\">knitted Sea Monkey\u003C/a> for \u003Ci>Oliver and the Seawigs\u003C/i>, the fabulous \u003Ca href=\"http://www.whodunnknit.com/\">Lauren O'Farrell\u003C/a> (aka Deadly Knitshade) came up with a new Pug pattern, and she assures us that this one's even easier to make! \\r\n\u003Cfont size=\"3\">\u003Cb>**You can download it free, \u003Ca href=\"http://www.jabberworks.co.uk/pugs-of-the-frozen-north/\">here on my website\u003C/a>.**\u003C/font>\u003C/b> \\r\n\\r\n\u003Ca href=\"http://www.jabberworks.co.uk/pugs-of-the-frozen-north/\">\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/pug_pattern_pg1_zpsgejiibnv-a5a2085281.jpg\">\u003C/a>\\r\n\\r\nThis pug's named Tuggle and we love him. But there are \u003Cb>66 pugs\u003C/b> in the book, so there will be lots of names to choose from (and you can come up with your own, of course). Lauren's a champion knitter and worked in the same studio room as me until she outgrew the space, about the time that she was knitting the world's largest solar system for the Science Museum. She knows all about exploring the outer reaches of knitting, but this pattern is actually very simple. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/laurenofarrell_pug1_zps9hdyk7wk-b479c7d24a.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nSo Tuggle and I are pals - I've never had a dog before! - but Philip's poodle on Dartmoor, Frodo, can't quite decide what he thinks about this pug invasion.
