I showed her some of the book that went with them and decided to take a photo to see if anyone else remembers \u003Cb>Raggedy Ann and Andy\u003C/b>. \u003Ca href=\"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raggedy_Ann\">(Ooo, I see they have a Wikipedia entry!)\u003C/a> They really are very ugly dolls, but so plain that they're rather loveable. (Or maybe that's just nostalgia kicking in. Speaking of which, I'm a bit smitten with \u003Ca href=\"http://tozocomic.livejournal.com/\" class=\"lj-user\">tozocomic\u003C/a>'s purdy \u003Ca href=\"http://tozocomic.livejournal.com/63122.html\">red tin robot\u003C/a>.)\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cb>James Harvey\u003C/b> (\u003Ca href=\"http://harveyjames.livejournal.com/\" class=\"lj-user\">harveyjames\u003C/a>) has been running his Activity Week and getting lots of contributions. I really like his floating cats, so I put in a drawing for his challenge to pick one of the cats and turn it into a lady. (You have to figure out which one I picked, it's not very difficult.)\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/catlady-921b5e9edc.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cb>Event!\u003C/b> If you'd like to get a drawing from me, \u003Ca href=\"http://www.garynorthfield.co.uk\">Gary Northfield\u003C/a> has been kind enough to let me come crash at his table for a couple hours on \u003Cb>Saturday, 23 May\u003C/b> at \u003Ca href=\"http://www.londonexpo.com/show_features/comic_village__expo.html\">London's MCM Expo\u003C/a>. (I can let you know exact times later, but I'm guessing I'll be there just after lunch.) I went last year and it was the best people-watching ever, so many amazing costumes! Actually, it's worth \u003Ca href=\"http://jabberworks.livejournal.com/141029.html\">visiting that post\u003C/a> to read \u003Cb>Kate Brown\u003C/b>'s Essential Manga reading list. Come see Gary's stuff, it's amazing, and then get a drawing from me, too! I'm hoping Gary will want to do \u003Ca href=\"http://jabberworks.livejournal.com/140308.html\">another collaborative picture\u003C/a>, that was good fun.
