The best ones looked and felt like eyeballs but tasted so nice:\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/manhwa2-3756de5b67.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nAnd more yumminess:\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/manhwa1-f3c00c1d60.jpg\"> \u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/manhwa4-534d1edd74.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nI must confess, I'm a slow convert to mainstream Manga and the Korean verson, Manhwa, but I really needed to get out and hadn't had a good chat with my friend Rian for awhile, so I decided to combine the two by going to the opening of \u003Ca href=\"http://london.korean-culture.org/navigator.do?menuCode=200903170054&action=VIEW&seq=19797\">Manhwa 100\u003C/a> at the \u003Cb>Korean Cultural Centre\u003C/b>. Most of the artwork wasn't really my thing, but there was some lovely linework posted on the walls, and you couldn't not be impressed by the drawing skills of the featured resident artist, \u003Cb>Chul-Ho Park\u003C/b>. Here he is in the studio they've set up for him in the centre's front window:\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/manhwa5-a114051f5b.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nThe best thing was finding such a great space just next to Trafalgar Square, with a lovely lounge and lots of available comics reading matter. What a great place to nip into on a rainy day! I'll look forward to seeing what else the Korean Cultural Centre gets up to. If you get the chance, at \u003Cb>2-3:30 this afternoon, \u003Ca href=\"http://www.paulgravett.com\">Paul Gravett\u003C/a> is giving a talk there while Chul-Ho Park does a live drawing performance and workshop.\u003C/b> Should be good! The exhibition runs until 24 June.\\r\n\\r\nI didn't manage to ask around who was coming, but there were several people I recognised at the launch, including \u003Cb>Paul Gravett\u003C/b>, \u003Ca href=\"http://seanazz.livejournal.com/\" class=\"lj-user\">seanazz\u003C/a>, \u003Cb>Joel Meadows\u003C/b> (editor of \u003Ca href=\"http://www.tripwireannual.com\">Tripwire\u003C/a> comics magazine), and here are \u003Ca href=\"http://www.cartoonmuseum.org/\">Cartoon Museum\u003C/a> artist-in-residence \u003Ca href=\"http://www.hocus-baloney.com\">Mark Stafford\u003C/a>, \u003Ca href=\"http://www.rianhughes.com\">Rian Hughes\u003C/a> and \u003Ca href=\"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ILYA\">Ed Hillyer\u003C/a> (also known as Ilya).
