I was watching Sofia Coppola's \u003Ci>Marie Antoinette\u003C/i> film and drooling over all the cakes and dresses. My princess changed a lot but the aliens, not so much.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/early_pspag1-1edbb12185.jpg\">\\r\nThe best and worst thing about illustrating this picture book has been the overwhelming theme of yummy beautiful cakes. And I am always one to do my research. So this morning I was feeling the pangs of sugar withdrawal but knew I should meet this feeling head-on with some hardcore exercise. I had a little postal slip from a parcel I'd missed, so I went on a the healthy two-mile walk from my house to the post office to the studio. But what did I find at the post office... a big box full of \u003Cb>AMAZING CUPCAKES!\u003C/b> OH NO! But... OH \u003Cb>YES!\u003C/b> :D \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cb>I love you people at Scholastic so, so much. Message from my studio mates: they love you so, so much, too.\u003C/b>\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/joyinthepost-84880769de.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nAnd the other thing I got from the post office was Dave Shelton's \u003Ca href=\"http://www.davidficklingbooks.co.uk/davidficklingbooks_dfclibrary.asp\">\u003Ci>Good Dog, Bad Dog\u003C/i>\u003C/a> and \u003Ca href=\"http://goraina.livejournal.com/\" class=\"lj-user\">goraina\u003C/a> Raina Telgemeier's \u003Ca href=\"http://goraina.com/books_smile.html\">\u003Ci>Smile\u003C/i>\u003C/a>.
