I thought I'd post some snapshots from our week-long visit to the Reeve family on Dartmoor over the holidays. Once again, they kindly adopted Stuart and me for Christmas and we had a brilliant time. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/863022_original-667a10d9aa.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nThese are all out of order but I'll post some highlights. Last time we went to Chagford, we had lunch with artist \u003Ca href=\"https://jabberworks.livejournal.com/828620.html\">Alan Lee and visited his studio\u003C/a>. This time we got to see where \u003Ca href=\"https://www.davidwyattillustration.com/\">David Wyatt\u003C/a> creates his artwork. I love this photo \u003Ca href=\"https://instagram.com/moorland/\">Sarah Reeve\u003C/a> took, with \u003Ca href=\"https://philip-reeve.com/\">Philip Reeve\u003C/a>, Alan, Stuart and me gathered around David's big drawing desk. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/863325_original-52d82b66e0.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nHere are some recent books David's illustrated: \u003Ca href=\"http://www.walker.co.uk/Nine-Worlds-in-Nine-Nights-A-Journey-Through-Imaginary-Lands-9781406377705.aspx\">\u003Ci>Nine Worlds in Nine Nights\u003C/i>\u003C/a>, \u003Ca href=\"http://justimagine.co.uk/review/uki-and-the-outcasts/\">Uki and the Outcasts\u003C/a> (the first in a new book series set in the Five Realms of Podkin One-Ear), and one of the \u003Ca href=\"https://www.discworldemporium.com/games-toys/407-unseen-university-library-jigsaw-puzzle\">Terry Pratchett jigsaw puzzles\u003C/a> David does the artwork for. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/868669_original-39eed11857.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\n\u003C!--more Click here for lots more under the cut!-->\\r\nAnd here they are again, three fine chappies at the local pub! \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/863666_original-8843650040.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nIt wouldn't be Christmas without also seeing the Daleks, actors \u003Ca href=\"https://twitter.com/NicholasPegg\">Nick Pegg\u003C/a> and \u003Ca href=\"https://twitter.com/BarnabyEdwards\">Barnaby Edwards\u003C/a>. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/863885_original-fdc9e2a625.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nAnd Barnaby bakes amazing cakes, too!\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/869300_original-2e0d96f937.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\">\\r\n\\r\nHere's a pic I did of Sam Reeve (well, mostly his hair). We can never tell what the weather will be like before we set off; even if it's lashing rain, it's still worth going out because the weather may change entirely within minutes.
