We demonstrated some of the gadgetry in our book, including the wonderous Nom-O-Tron, which can, from a simple protein formula, synthesise any sort of food you like. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/budleigh_stage_zpsfe91722d-bd7c2cfc08.jpg\">\\r\n\u003Ci>\u003Cfont size=\"1\">Photo by \u003Ca href=\"https://twitter.com/SarahReeve3\">Sarah Reeve\u003C/a>\u003C/i>\u003C/font>\\r\n\\r\nAnd I was pleased to find it produced a most excellent coffee walnut cake. I like my victorious arm gesture at the end. \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/budleigh_lauren_comic_zpsbf16da79-cc8827ae38.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nIt's so fun getting people to draw Pilbeam. (Reeve does a great Pilbeam voice when we do one of the readings from \u003Ci>Cakes in Space\u003C/i>.)\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/budleigh_robots3_zps7ead24d9-2bbce75bfd.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nI think people get a lot of confidence seeing that, if they take a drawing step by step, they can turn out something interesting on their paper. Sarah did a great job bringing a killer cake on stage for us to examine in a Great-British-Bake-Off style, and Stuart worked the music (composed by Sarah Reeve). Thanks, team! \\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/budleigh_sarahstuart_zps722455c9-a4a70a1faa.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nWe even met one of the stars of the \u003Ca href=\"https://twitter.com/SaveBudLibrary\">Save Budleigh Library\u003C/a> documentary film and, when our event was finished, we stopped by the library for a peek. A nice lady with a zimmer frame insisted I wear her scarf for the photo.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Cimg src=\"https://images.jabberworks.co.uk/lj/budleigh_library_zpseb7f4054-861589cbca.jpg\">\\r\n\\r\nI contributed a bit to the video, which you can see here. We do hope the government reconsiders closing this heart of the community and listens to local people who are throwing themselves into the campaign.\\r\n\\r\n\u003Clj-embed id=\"2830\"/>\\r\n\\r\nIt was quite funny walking around Budleigh Salterton in cognito. We passed several people who had been at our event and they didn't recognise us at all without our space gear. Hey, check out the stone pictures on Budleigh beach!
