a sketch a day…
…keeps mad bunnies away.
I’ve just written a review of ‘Penguin’ by Polly Dunbar over at Write Away. Funny book, with a cool DVD animation.
I’m back in town, after a fabulous bank holiday weekend camping at Cheltenham Racecourse for Greenbelt. Have had lots of sun and am now surrounded by stinky camping gear. Here’s a semi-random sampling of some of the music acts we heard, and here. Billy Bragg’s getting on, but he fills a stage better than most. A couple years ago, the Polyphonic Spree opened for him, and even with all their white robes, gazillion instruments and thrashing about, he still had more presence. Not that I’m even a huge Billy Bragg fan or anything, but he does manage a good show.
