Hooray, Vern and Lettuce have a cover for the DFC! I was a bit of a control freak and did a lot of the lettering, too.

Woodrow Phoenix mentioned an upcoming festival at the Barbican for the ‘God of Manga’ Osamu Tezuka: Movies into Manga, 18 – 24 Sept, should be good.
And I’ve just booked my ticket to see Fear(s) of the Dark at the ICA: Paul Gravett introduces a special screening of this cartoon creepshow: a haunting animated anthology of stories from different directors working in various vivid styles, including one tale written and animated by the great graphic-novel artist Charles Burns (Black Hole, Big Baby).

Edit: I’m also going to try to swing by at the end of London Underground Comics’ Low Energy Day at Camden Market on Saturday. Which is kind of an odd name for it, because so many comics people are scurrying around like mad trying to get their stuff printed in time.
