more fun ways to make time go plinkety-plunk

A big thanks to family friend Mark Gardner in Seattle for picking out a new ukulele for me! I don’t know how to play it yet, but I have not let that stop me from coming up with stupid songs already.

I’m still meaning to blog about Amsterdam, but in while I’m frantically scribbling away on my picture book, I’ll give a shout for a friend’s stuff: here’s a fabulous game for you! Have you played Angry Birds before? Well, this is even more fun because it features GOBLINS. You can chuck battle axes an’ fire an’ stuff at them from a Bratapult. You have to register for the Swapit site, but that only took me a few seconds. The highest score I’ve managed so far was just over 900 points, but someone’s topped the chart with over 8,000. Whoa. So here’s GOBLINS, THE GAME.

So there’s a brilliant book… and a game… and did I mention, there might be a film??! News flash just in last night from Hollywood… Congratulations, Philip Reeve!

And be quick, there might still be some tickets left for our SF event at Foyles Charing Cross on 22 May, with Philip, Moira Young, Steve Cole, Kim Lakin-Smith and The Kitschies! Go right over to the Foyles website and book yourself a free place.
