knitting book from deptford market

I had to pop over to the post office and on the way, noticed this book sitting on the pile of books in one of the bric-a-brac stalls, for 50p. I can’t wait to show it to my studio mates, Lauren and Ellen, super-knitterwomen. I love the endpapers and the pictures made me laugh.

‘Knitted Garments for the Family’ by Dorothy M. Beckett. Odhams Press Ltd, Long Acre, London – oddly, it lists no year of publication that I can find, just ‘Copyright S.450.T.’

I should do some drawings from this book, they’d be good fun. But first I must make my comic for my WoM submission. (Have you drawn a partygoer for the front cover yet?)
