early fans rock!

Issue 4 of the DFC is out today! Hooray!

Here are two of the earliest fans for Vern & Lettuce getting down with the moles. (I bet they’re even cooler than the Hiphopopotamus.)

Other good stuff online: the Saturday Guardian ran an extract from Haruki Murakami’s latest book, on writing and running. I’ve read several of his books and had no idea he’s onto his 24th marathon.

And Ryan Pequin has posted some good comics/illustration links here.

    thank you

    sarah,

Thank you for doing the drawing of me and Alex. I think its really good and I really really like it. I really like the moles singing. My Dad says when I pass my Grade 2 piano I can get a drum kit just like mole. I love my bro playing the piano it really cool and I love my guitar.

Thanks, Ben, I’m really glad you like it! That’s great you guys are learning instruments. Your dad also said something about you being interested in animation. Do either you or Alex draw comics?

Hope you get that drum kit soon,
      Sarah x

        Hello Sarah,

I am the one who loves to draw. I met Lorenzo and Bob Etherington at the DFC launch. Lorenzo showed me how to draw Chief Tutt. How cool is that!

Thanks once again for our drawing – we love it

        Ben

PS we think that Hippo link with Flight of the Concords is very funny!

Very cool! Leave a comment with some links if you ever get around to scanning any drawings and putting them online. (I use Photobucket and I used Flickr until I maxed out the free space.)
